| Ok, looking through the Stronghold Builders Guidebook as a reference... It would appear that the type of room that you are looking to furnish for Ajax would cost around 1500-2000 gold, expensive i know! And Lorric's bar would cost perhaps 300 gold.... I'm open to any input or arguments on these matters | |

| All information based upon "The Stronghold Builders Guidebook" - Madaxe McBrutal wrote:

The stables are in need of various fitments that are more suitable to your purposes as a dinosaur herder, and more obviously your size. These fitments will cost you 250 gold in total, and Katerina would like at least one stall for her own mount, which she hasn't yet got. - Ajax the astounding wrote:

Well 2 cheap rooms with straw beds on a low frame, bedclothes of burlap, rough cotton or wool, a single chest of drawers, a mirror, a rough bench in front of a small table and a privvy cost 700 gold. 2 fancy rooms with beds resting on handsome frames with fine cotton sheets and wool blankets, a finely carved bureau and wardrobe, an upholstered bench and small writiing desk and a privvy cost 4000 gold. However with hindsight, you are not building the room from scratch so i will rconsider my first price. 4000 for 2 rooms, so 2000 for one. 25% of that is 500 gold for a well furnished room. And the price for Lorric's bar remains the same at 300 gold, however, keeping it stocked could well prove to be an ongoing expense

| Dave, a question about the house. Does it extend out over empty space, more specifically do the stable extend out over empty space? If so, would it be possible to modify one of the stalls so that the floor opens up and I can launch Hurricane (my Glidewing) vertically down out of it? | |

James is currently designing the house so i can't really answer any questions about the layout. However, things i do know.... i) The house does extend over empty space, along with the stables. ii) Having an animal living on a trapdoor is not safe, but you can certainly build a trapdoor somewhere in the stables for launching. iii) As it stands there is no reason why you couldn't take your mount to the bridge and launch from there, although this option is not as cool

Oh boy, it's pull a number out of a hat time again. I think that you could have one made for anywhere from 15 to 75 gold, depending on workmanship and materials quality. Of course the patent is an annual fee of 10000 gold

| Right - 75 gold it is then (I want it secure and spiffy). So that, on top of the base stable outfitting fee of 250 gp is a total of 325. All correct? | |

| Coolio. The doors are made of sturdy, iron-bound hard-wood and a lever mechanism is within arms reach when you are mounted. The doors are designed to open slowly for the first inch or two, to prepare you and your mount for the drop. A pulley and weight then springs into action opening the doors rapidly to prevent anything catching as you fall. Once the doors are opened the pulley mechanism continues to function, closing the doors behind you. They are fully closed and locked in 30 seconds. (I'm assuming that you come in to land on the bridge and lead your mount into the stable rather than trying to navigate a hole in the floor.) The doors are more than capable of supporting Anvil's weight and then some. | |
