Father Jack

Just so that everyone is aware, Father Jack will NOT be accompanying the group on further adventures.
Sorry Chris, I know you put a lot of work into his character but the reasons i've made this decision are:

1. I feel that the game balance has become disrupted and challenges are not so challenging with him there.
2. He is the only one in the party that has no real ties to the group and their cause.
3. I feel that he overshadows the group's existing members somewhat.
4. I would like to see the danger levels in future games increase, which means less healing and fewer party members.

On the plus side it does mean more XP for the rest of you.

Hmm ok. I tried to make him tougher than the last healer, as he broke, and it was made clear our reputation would suffer if hirelings kept dying.

Clearly I over-excelled!

I'm pretty sure that your excellence is the reason that he is so effective.
If he was a PC then I would just do away with the other hirelings.
Apologies again, but there is nothing to say he can't/won't return in the future.
