Suggestions for items to create !

Ok so here's the thing, there is loads of cool stuff I can start to make for the group, as I get Craft Wonderous Item at this coming level, (this friday *hint hint*) to start with the item caster level limit is 5th (mine 3rd +2 for the Artificer bonus) so if you have any ideas of stuff for you and the group say so here and I''ll lok at it before game time. So far I'm looking at
FIELD PROVISIONS BOX
Price (Item Level): 2,000 gp (6th)
Body Slot: — (held)
Caster Level: 5th
Aura: Faint; (DC 17) conjuration
Activation: Standard (command)
Weight: 1 lb.
This well-crafted wooden box is carved with
runes denoting abundance.
When activated, a field provisions box produces
a full day’s sustenance (food and
water) for up to fifteen humans or five
horses.
A field provisions box functions once
per day.
Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item,
create food and water.
Cost to Create: 1,000 gp, 40 XP, 2 days.

So at 1,000 gp to make if everyone puts in 250gp, I'll put the 40xp in and the crafting time. And I'm hoping Dave will allow the horses part to be replaced by Kapek's Dinos. Then we (well you eating types) never need to buy food. rations ect again unless the want to for the taste.

Ok so I thought this would be best for the darkest three hours of the night while camping out or upto three hours resting in dungeons to heal ect before moving on. Cost each 300gp again, the odd 50gp and the 100xp from me.

Now do people feel that paying the extra gold while I pay the xp cost is fair????? I've never played a character that can craft party items so I don't want to be taking the p"ss, but I feel that getting items made for you at under market cost is a good trade off (What I make between cst price and market price is too off set my xp/ craft reserve cost) . Please be honest here about it !

As gold is usually easier to get than XP I don't have a problem with it.

well yes but as all it does is provide light, I presume you get that with a lantern as well

But aurely you should. What does the lantern do, give you radar-sense ?

Magic has a manifestation. Wand of Shocking Greap hurts because it creates electricity, Blindsense helps you spot stuff because you can feel the vibrations.
So what does this do apart from produce light
